Like any product, the cost of weed in the U.S. fluctuates. Despite the average cost of an ounce of marijuana being exceptionally higher in some states than others, prices of marijuana in Missouri and other states are slowly starting to fall.

As the medical and recreational marijuana market continues to expand, the average cost of an ounce of marijuana is actually expected to continue to decrease.

According to Cannabis Benchmarks, a leading provider of financial, business and cannabis industry data in North America, the price differences of the cost of weed across the U.S. will decline as supply continues to expand. With more states legalizing medical and/or recreational cannabis and a smaller number of consumers more than a two-hour drive from legal and/or competitively priced weed, it’s expected that prices will even out considerably.
